What is artificial intelligence?

AI programmes cover the mathematics and engineering behind machine learning systems: statistics and linear algebra, classical machine learning, neural networks, computer vision and natural language processing.

Because AI is a recent addition to Egyptian faculty structures, programme quality and depth vary more than in long-established subjects. Look hard at the module list and at who is teaching it.

Should I study AI or computer science?
A broad computer science degree with AI electives keeps more doors open, and a named AI degree goes deeper sooner. If you are unsure, computer science is the safer default — you can specialise later, including at master's level.
