Program guide
Study Dentistry in Egypt
What is dentistry?
Dentistry in Egypt is an undergraduate-entry clinical degree covering oral and dental medicine and surgery, followed by a supervised internship year.
It is unusually hands-on from early in the programme: students work in phantom laboratories before progressing to supervised treatment of real patients in university dental hospitals.
Who it is for
- Students with strong science results who want a clinical career with a clear practical craft element.
- Students who prefer a shorter route to practice than medicine.
- Students who are comfortable with detailed manual work.
How long it takes
5–6 years
Typically a taught programme followed by a required internship year. Programme length is set by the university and the relevant national regulations, and it has changed in recent years. Confirm the exact structure for your intake with the university before you apply.
