Admission for Sudanese students

Guidance for Sudanese students and families, including where documentation is difficult to obtain.

A note first

Many Sudanese students are applying in circumstances that make ordinary document collection hard or impossible. If your records are inaccessible, tell us plainly at the start. We cannot change a university's requirements, but we can help you establish exactly what a given institution will accept in place of a missing document, and we will not waste your time pretending a route exists when it does not.

Your secondary school certificate

The Sudanese secondary certificate is assessed against each university's own equivalency rules. Requirements for subjects and grades differ by faculty and institution.

There is no single checklist that fits every university

Requirements differ between institutions, between faculties within the same institution, between degree levels and between nationalities. Use this guide to prepare, then confirm the exact requirement with each university on your shortlist before you rely on it.

Language

Sudanese students who studied in Arabic have a wider range of options at Egyptian public universities than many other international applicants, because Arabic-taught programmes are open to them. English-taught programmes remain available at both public and private universities.

Confirm the language of instruction for the exact programme regardless — it is set per programme.
